Business Intelligence (BI)

Business intelligence(BI) is a broad category of application and technologies for gathering, storing, analyzing and providing access to data to help enterprise users make better business decisions.

Bi application include the activities of decision support systems, query and reporting, online analytical processing (OLAP), statistical analysis, forecasting and data mining.

Business Object (BO)

A Business object is a representation of a thing active in the business domain, including at least its business name and definition, attributes, behaviour, relationships and constraints.

A business object may be a person, place or concept

The representation may be in a natural language, a   modelling language, or a programming language.

Business intelligence is an umbrella term that refers to a variety of software applications used to analyse an organization raw data.

Business object technology and business object programing are based on the concept of business objects.
